Project Description
Whole house fixer upper remodel in Cleveland Heights. The previous owners had rented this house out for 8 years. When the tenants left, the owners found the house in very poor condition and a complete remodel was needed. Since the owners still live close by, they wanted the house brought back to it’s glory days. Being close friends of ours and having worked with Harmoni Designs and Harmoni Build on two projects in the past, they asked if we would like to purchase the house and take on the project.
Nearly every inch of the house was touched during the large remodel.
The kitchen was gutted to the studs and opened to the adjacent bar and dining room which set up the spaces for entertaining and family cooking. A beautiful solid American walnut island countertop with a waterfall end and matching floating shelves were introduced. The walnut provides a nice warm contrast to the white Shaker style cabinetry, stainless steel appliances and the stained white oak hardwood flooring.
The powder room was completely remodeled as well. A beautiful floating wood counter with white washed wood ship lap backsplash was installed.
The original house only had once bathroom on the second floor for four bedrooms. The floor plan was redesigned to include a large master suite with walk-in closet and an expansive master bathroom in addition to the existing kids bathroom. The new master bathroom features bluish glass tile inlays and lots of natural light, resulting in a bright, relaxing and inviting interior.
After the project was completed, the sellers stopped by to see how their old house turned out. They were ecstatic with the outcome and all agreed that the reworked floor plan and spaces greatly improved the house. Mission accomplished!
